update 20170115: from Corrado Tomaselli: "my Varth has the longer A-board from 1988, but with the CPS Dash sticker and offcourse the 12mhz OSC, the revision is 88617-5", and "the 12mhz OSC is not "resoldered", it is factory installed without reflux"
